NAB 2019: MSI, Azure to Offer Security Perspectives at Content Protection Summit

A key member of the Digital Watermarking Alliance and the senior lead of media and entertainment security with Microsoft Azure will bring new perspectives on content protection April 7, during the second-annual Cybersecurity & Content Protection Summit, being held at the Westgate Hotel during the NAB Show.

First, at 3:35 p.m., Michael Gamble, SVP of customer service for Media Science International (MSI), will be joined by James Whitebread, CTO of MarcoPolo Learning, a children’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education firm that looks to MSI for forensic watermarking, for the session “A Revolution in Digital Watermarking, Watermark Every Frame, Detect in Seconds.”

“Attendees can expect to see and learn about exciting new advancements in forensic digital video watermarking that now allow creative media companies such as MarcoPolo to watermark short segments of animated footage through full length productions and retrieve the watermark as fast as a fingerprint,” Gamble said.

MSI’s BluMark forensic video watermarking technology enables Marco Polo to embed and detect payloads in seconds, a solution that’s become crucial to its business model, Whitebread said.

“As an educational media company with a focus on technology, we find it necessary to protect our short form animation clips and working content the same as our full length productions. BluMark allows us to rapidly watermark short form animation to full length episodes and lessons with a highly robust payload that is invisible to the viewers,” he said.
